Description of the Apple iPhone 13 Mini
The 14th of September 2021 was the day: Apple announced a new series of iPhones! This is the iPhone 13 Mini, which is again available in many cheerful colours. There are also a lot of improvements again, which you will find in the display, camera, but also in the battery.
Besides that, the iPhone 13 Mini is completely water and dust resistant thanks to its IP68 certification. The Ceramic Shield glass also makes the iPhone 13 Mini scratch and drop resistant. Of course, MagSafe functionality is also back in the iPhone 13 Mini.
Compact display with smaller notch
The iPhone 13 Mini, like the iPhone 12 Mini, features a compact 5.4-inch display with OLED technology. The display can become a lot brighter than its predecessor, making it easier to read in sunlight!
Another new feature of the iPhone 13 Mini is the notch. The notch has become smaller, making it even less noticeable than before. Especially with the compact screen of the iPhone 13 Mini, this is very nice! This makes the ideal one-handed smartphone even easier to use.
Powerful A15 chip
With a new range of iPhones comes a new range of Apple chips. This time there is the A15-chip, of course made by Apple. This chip is more powerful than its predecessor, the A14, allowing you to run any app without difficulty. It's also more energy efficient, which means longer battery life.
Camera with LiDAR sensor and improved ultra-wide-angle lens
The LiDAR sensor was previously only seen in the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. Now this useful scanner is coming to the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini too! It allows you to precisely measure the distance of many different points in the image. The phone uses this for portrait photos with an accurate depth-of-field effect.
Another thing that has changed in the camera setup of the iPhone 13 Mini is the ultra-wide-angle lens. Apple now uses a better lens that allows you to take great pictures that fit a very large subject! It's great for shooting panoramas and large group photos.
Improved battery life
As mentioned earlier, the iPhone 13 Mini's chip is a bit more energy efficient. On top of that, the battery of the iPhone 13 Mini is even bigger than the one of the iPhone 12 Mini! So you get better battery life from both sides. Charging is also done wireless, via the magnetic MagSafe connector.
